Childsdraw - Art & Clothing in Deptford
Childsdraw is an independent illustration-based brand in Deptford, South London. Showcasing and celebrating the idiosyncrasies of London life, Childsdraw is the brainchild of South London illustrator Jess Childs.
Taking inspiration from traditional working class identities, vibrant immigrant communities and doing both with a squeeze of South London humour, Jess has recently opened her shop at Deptford Market Yard. With the new premises, Jess aims to stay at the heart of the community that was her inspiration and to immortalise Deptford's defining features in her work before the area is regenerated and its features lost.
Once inside the shop, expect to find items of streetwear, accessories, ceramics and prints - each of which having been designed by Jess in her unique style. Her products neatly sit between art and utility; in other words, her products are generally bought to be used whilst also shining in their own light.
